About this directory

What this site is: Directorio Morado is a free, public directory of support resources for survivors of sexual violence and people seeking reproductive and abortion support in Mexico and Latin America. Entries are stored in a curated database and shown on the site; anyone can suggest a resource via the site, and suggestions are reviewed by administrators before publication. It is not a government site and is not run by a single organization. No fee is charged for listings.

Who maintains it: The directory is maintained as a public resource for the community. Administrators curate and approve entries. The public can submit new resources through the “Sugerir un recurso” (suggest a resource) form; submissions go to a pending queue and appear in the directory only after approval.

What type of resources it lists: The directory lists organizations, collectives, professionals, and government services. Resource types include: crisis hotlines (24/7), abortion accompaniment, psychological support, legal support, community support, sexual violence support, reproductive rights, sexual health, financial support, government services, nutrition support, medical and health, and associations and foundations. Each entry can indicate cost (free, low cost, variable, or consult directly), population served (e.g. women, girls, survivors of sexual violence, general public), and whether the service is online, in-person, or both. Coverage is Mexico and Latin America and the Caribbean (e.g. Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, and other countries in the region).

How you use it: You can browse and filter the directory by type of support, search by name or location, and open individual entries for contact details (phone, WhatsApp, website, Instagram, hours). No registration or login is required to view the directory. Use is anonymous; the site does not collect personal data from visitors.

Who it is for: This directory is for survivors of sexual violence, women and people seeking abortion or reproductive rights support, and anyone in Mexico or Latin America looking for psychological, legal, crisis, or community support in these areas.

Emergency disclaimer: Directorio Morado is an information directory, not emergency services. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For 24-hour crisis support in Mexico, call 800 911 2000.
